How did you get into Crossfit?

We did it in my Ranger Battalion and I got hooked from there.

What are some of the benefits you have seen from doing CrossFit?

Looking good in the mirror!

What do you love most about CrossFit?

Watching everyone suffer together.

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone starting CrossFit?

Don’t get discouraged.

What is your favorite thing about CrossFit Downtown Atlanta?

It’s a welcoming environment, I’ve been to dozens of other CrossFit gyms over the years and never felt comfortable at one until I joined here.

What are some things you like to do outside of CrossFit?

Hiking, camping, cave diving, crazy endurance events, and spending time with my Boxer, Ursula.

Where does your passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle come from?

Who knows, I guess I’m just a glutton for punishment.

Why do you coach, what motivates you to teach?

To make people a better version of themselves.

What do you think separates a great coach from a good coach, and a good coach from a poor coach?

Understanding what motivates each individual.

What is the most rewarding part of coaching?

Watching people become something better than they were, even when they didn’t believe in themselves.
