How did you get into CrossFit?

  • After working at Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament as a stunt performer in the show, I was looking for something to stay active. The average gym, filled with people with headphones stuffed in their ears and deep gazing in the mirror, was depressing and unfulfilling for me. When I tried my first CrossFit class, I knew I was hooked.

What are some of the benefits you have seen from doing CrossFit?

  • With Crossfit, you never have to worry about sticking to a particular program. The goal of each workout is to show up to a class, do your best, and repeat. This simplicity allows me to stay in great shape, but not have to worry about the intricate nuances of fitness.

What do you love most about CrossFit?

  • I love the thrill of competition. Whether it is competing with a score someone posted earlier, or someone next to me in a class, I feel inspired sweating alongside people from all walks of life on common ground.

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone starting CrossFit?

  • Do not be intimidating by the sounds of dropping weights, or the gymnastic rings you see hanging from the ceiling. CrossFit gyms are filled with regular people in pursuit of their best selves. You will be supported by people who want to see you do well, and in a cut throat world, that is an invaluable daily experience.
