How did you get into CrossFit?
I played college and club ultimate frisbee and was looking for something to help me get stronger, and to help me become a better athlete.
What motivates your passion for fitness and healthy living?
My ultimate goal in life is to do fun stuff for as long as I can. I would probably go crazy if I couldn’t go on adventures and do fitness.
What are some of the benefits you have seen from doing CrossFit?
Because of Crossfit, I have learned how to move my body in the most effective and efficient way possible, under constantly varying stressors. Crossfit improves both my physical fitness and mental toughness to take on all of life’s random tasks and obstacles.
Why do you coach, and what motivates you to teach?
Having suffered two knee injuries, I really want to help people learn how to move properly and effectively. I aim to provide as individualized coaching as possible—not just generic queues—so that everyone at CrossFit Downtown Atlanta can move most efficiently within the boundaries of their anatomy.
What is your favorite food?
What are some things you like to do outside of CrossFit?
I scuba dive, do stunts, and practice Jiujitsu. I love reading sci-fi and history novels, and I am a huge nerd, whether it’s D&D, board games, or video games. My wife and I go on as many adventures around the world as we possibly can, anything from enjoying Universal and Disney World to going on glacier hikes in Iceland.
