How did you get into CrossFit?

  • I was burned out on distance running, and had been occasionally dropping into weekend community CrossFit classes in Boston. I knew I needed a change in my fitness routine and figured I’d give CrossFit a shot (after lots of peer pressure!) while I took a few months off running. By the time my first Open rolled around a few months later, I was permanently hooked. 

What motivates your passion for fitness and healthy living?

  • Setting big goals and enjoying the habits and process along the way. 

What are some of the benefits you have seen from doing CrossFit?

  • Doing things I never thought I was capable of has made me appreciate and be thankful for my body and mind every day. 

Why do you coach, and what motivates you to teach?

  • Developing a positive and productive mindset around fitness has been really transformative for me over the past few years, and I coach because I want to pass it on!

What is your favorite food? Crispy and crunchy apples. Or pad thai. 

What are some things you like to do outside of CrossFit?

  • Getting outside as much as possible — camping, running, and hiking. Reading a good book. Playing with my cats.
