How did you get into CrossFit?

  • My Friend told how her friend saw amazing changes in her body once she started doing it.

What motivates your passion for fitness and healthy living?

  • Heart problems run in my family; I want to get ahead of it.

  • I want to keep doing epic stuff with my body when I grow old.

  • I love seeing my body get strong.

What are some of the benefits you have seen from doing CrossFit?

  • It has introduced me to the love of lifting.

  • It gave me my first pull-up (something I never thought I would ever be able to do)

  • It has shown me that if I put the time in and work hard, I will be able to do a lot of stuff I never thought I could.

Why do you coach, and what motivates you to teach?

  • I’ve learned a lot from my own fitness journey and wanted to bring that to my athletes.

  • Helping my athletes move well.

  • Seeing and helping my athletes achieve things they never thought they could.

  • Seeing athletes finally do a movement they’ve been working hard trying to achieve. 

  • I love the sport of CrossFit and enjoy learning about fitness in general and wanted to bring that to my athletes.

What is your favorite food?  

  • Kitfo- it’s an Ethiopian dish. It is also the reason I can never be vegetarian or vegan :-)

What are some things you like to do outside of CrossFit?

  • I like exploring different parts of Atlanta with friends.
